THE LITTLE MERMAID
The Little
Mermaid is what Denmark is famous for.
She sits on a rock in "Langelinje", which is a little harbor in Copenhagen.
She is from one of H.C.Andersens most famous stories, The Little Mermaid.
She was a gift to Copenhagen ,from the brewer Carl Jacobsen and made by the sculptor
Edvard Eriksen.
Her head has been stolen twice, first time it was found and put on again, but second time
it wasn't found and a new one had to be made.
Once a year a small group of Finish people come down to The LittleMermaid, put a hat on
her and have a celebration.
Once someone had come down to the Little Mermaid and painted a bra and a pair of underwear
on her!
